I have not created new work in this category for quite a while, but this has been on my mind. Please watch this page for future images.

The title of this post should be taken literally because "altered art" can be many different things. To an artist it is a creative form of expression that can take many different forms. The operative word "digital" multiplies those forms. To a photographer with experience and a working knowledge of photography and imaging software - the results can be quite rewarding.
These are a few varied examples of things I do. More can be found on my website with image viewers that are now iPad friendly (Java, not Flash). I will refrain from commenting on each of these individually - so that your mind can wander as you wish.

This first one is probably finished.
The others are basic for now and will probably be altered to a greater degree
when I get to an idea for them.

For those who watch "Touch" (FOX, Thursday 8PM) there is an opening "voice over" dialogue by Jake that sets the tone for the episode. This is the only incidence where we hear him speak. These are quite thought provoking for an 11 year old.
"Human beings are hard wired with the impulse to share
our ideas and the desire to know we are heard.
Its all part of our need for community.
"That's why we're constantly sending out
signals and signs - and why we look for them
from other people. We're always waiting for
messages or beg for connection.
"If we haven't received a message, that doesn't
always mean it hasn't been sent to us. Sometimes,
it just means we haven't listened hard enough."
"Touch" - April 5, 2012
Among other things, this kinda applies to social networking, doesn't it.

... or Confused?
Do whatever is necessary to keep walking with progress;
over stalling with digression.
Depending on what attracts ones attention... unconsciously,
being aware of the distraction can shift that attention.
Make distractions fade in to the background,
Then take a break.
Make specific plans about a goal;
it frees up mental space for tasks at hand right now.
Drive your own mental car.
